The Minnesota Vikings have come to play this season. Starting off on fire in the MNF victory over the Saints. All parts of their team are clicking including the questionable offense. Well, any questions ab

out if they offense can produce have been squashed, as they came out firing.

To the special teams, where the Vikings were solid and were getting above average returns, pinning the Saints offense on their side of the field, and most importantly making all of their kicks.

Now, the most important part of this team. The Vikings defense is the best in the NFL. Consisting of many playmakers, they showed how dominant they can be against a great offense. Let’s look at each of the 3 parts of this team and prove why they are the most impressive team in the NFL.

Offense

Let’s start with the offense of the Vikings. To define them I have two words… STEFON DIGGS. Their number one receiver Stefon Diggs really showed up and played one of the best games of his career so far.

By grabbing seven of eight targets for 93 yards and 2 TDs. He played fantastic, but he wasn’t the only Viking playing that position to have an outstanding game.

Adam Thielen had himself a game against the Saints. Racking up nine of 10 targets for 157 yards. That duo is insanely good and are making a case for the best duo in the league.

To the running back position. Dalvin Cook in his first career game, broke the Vikings record for most rushing yards in their debut. Rushing for 127 yards on 22 carries.

He played great and are giving the Vikings a good running back to build around and he did great because the o line played great as well.

The Vikings o line wasn’t good at all last season and now they look like they can really hold their blocks. The most important performance in this game came from the quarterback position. Sam Bradford had an outstanding game, completing 27 of 32 throws for 346 yards and 3 TDs.

That Vikings offense played great and are looking to keep playing at that level.

Special Teams

Not much can be said about this unit then Kai Forbath has been doing his job and making every kick that he attempts. Their kick returning and kick return defense is playing good too.

Defense

This defense is the best defense in the whole NFL. They have playmakers on every part of that defense. Starting with the front 7, the Saints run game was completely shut down and the reason was because of guys like Linval Joseph, Anthony Barr, and Everson Griffin.

They were in the backfield a lot stopping the back from getting anything and they were either sacking or hitting the QB. The defensive line was forceful, Everson Griffin, Danielle Hunter, all made plays to put that defense in a dominant position.

Of course to the secondary which is just full of speed, length, and talent. The number one cornerback Xavier Rhodes really shut down Michael Thomas and didn’t let him grab many of his targets.

Not only were the targets being broken up, but their were barely any targets to the receiver he was defending. Harrison Smith, Trae Waynes, and Andre Sendejo are other players that played great to get the Vikings a win.
