South Carolina, Will Muschamp Agree To New 6-Year Deal

The South Carolina Gamecocks has signed head coach Will Muschamp to a new six-year, $28.2 million contract on Friday, according to the Associated Press.

Muschamp will receive a $200,000 raise “in each successive year”, according to Rivals.com’s Chris Clark.

Muschamp signed a five-year deal that paid out $3 million annually, according to The Stat, but was able to land a raise after a strong season at the helm.

Muschamp led the Gamecocks to a 9-4 finish, the first winning season since coach Steve Spurrier was at the helm back in 2014.
