Kevin Sumlin To Take Arizona Job

Kevin Sumlin has agreed to terms with the University of Arizona to become their next head football coach, coming only 11 days after Rich Rodriguez was fired amidst sexual harassment allegations.

This will be Sumlin’s 3rd career head coaching position, after being fired from Texas A&M with a 51-26 overall record.

Former Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez was ousted on January 3rd, in the wake of an investigation into workplace misconduct. Rodriguez was the head coach at Arizona for 6 seasons, finishing his tenure with a 43-35 overall record.

Look for Sumlin to take the reigns early in the offseason to work into his new role. It looks to be an upgrade at head coach for the Wildcats, but only the season will tell.
