Texans’ To Start Brock Osweiler For Wild Card Game

Hold onto your hats Houston Texans fans, Brock Osweiler is back behind center for the Houston Texans.

If the reality of that doesn’t sting enough, Osweiler is starting for the most important game of the season on Saturday against the Oakland Raiders.

Osweiler was 21-of-40 for 253 yards and a touchdown on Sunday during his relief of quarterback Tom Savage, who is out with a concussion.

To be able to play on Saturday, Savage would have had to clear the NFL’s concussion protocol.

Osweiler was benched for Savage in Week 15 against the Jacksonville Jaguars after throwing 2 interceptions in the 1st half.

Houston originally signed Osweiler to a four-year, $72 million contract during the offseason, a deal that looks more ridiculous with every snap Osweiler takes and his season showed just how bad that deal was (15 touchdowns, 16 interceptions in 15 games).

Now, the Texans entire season is on the line and the last man Texans’ fans probably want to see lining up behind center, will be doing just that on Saturday.
