Diego Sanchez returns to Welterweight, Will face Matt Brown at UFC Norfolk.

On November 11, the UFC Legend known as Diego “Lionheart” Sanchez makes his return to the Welterweight Division.

Diego will throw down with fellow UFC Veteran “The Immortal” Matt Brown in the Co-Main Event of UFC Fight Night 120 in Norfolk, VA.

The 35 year old Sanchez is coming off one of the most disappointing losses of his career. Sanchez was knocked out by a younger, stronger and faster lightweight in “Raging” Al Iaquinta in the first round of UFC Fight Night 108 in Nashville, TN.

Sanchez’ last bout at welterweight was back in February of 2012 when he took on Jake Ellenberger, a fight that Diego lost by decision while raking in Fight of the Night Honors.

Brown’s last bout took place at UFC 206 in December where he was knocked out by Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. Brown enters the contest having lost 5 of his last 6 fights with an overall record of 21-16.

Regardless of age and record, one thing the die hard MMA fans of the world know is these two men can certainly fight. Although UFC Norfolk will be headlined by Pettis vs. Poirier, Sanchez vs. Brown definitely has the potential and the fire power to steal the show in Virginia.
