March Madness Setting Up For Dramatic Sweet 16

Thursday and Friday are circled on almost every college basketball fan’s calendar as the Sweet 16 will officially kick off.

For those doing more than just a bracket (because it’s probably busted), these factoids for March Madness betting options are typical things to consider. For example, if you want to bet something with the finals, #2 seeds have historically dominated #3 seeds in the Sweet 16. They’ve also weighed in on KenPom vs Sagarin for anybody using advanced metrics.

With Kansas and Villanova as the only #1 seeds remaining, so far, they may tempt folks to ride their coattails through the rest of our tourny. Keep in mind that last year North Carolina was a No. 1 seed when they won it, but they were the fourth overall No. 1 seed behind Villanova, Kansas, and the Gonzaga team they defeated in the final.

Did you know that 15 of the last 16 National Champions have had the color blue somewhere on their uniforms?

This year’s tournament already has created some memorable moments:

  • #16 UMBC beat #1 Virginia
  • Michigan’s buzzer beater to win
  • Loyola’s thrilling late-bucket victory over Miami
  • Cincinnati blowing a 22-point lead over Nevada
  • Buffalo dismantling Arizona
  • Nevada’s overtime performance against Texas
  • Florida State defeating Xavier
  • Houston’s Rob Gray scoring 62 points in 2 games.
  • North Carolina ousted

And just in case you’re looking to continue tuning into the rest of the action, here is the upcoming television schedule so you know what game is when and how to watch it.
