Trae Young Announces He Will Enter 2018 NBA Draft

Oklahoma freshman Trae Young has decided to forgo his remaining NCAA eligibility to enter the 2018 NBA draft, according to FanRag Sports’ Jon Rothstein.

Young spoke about his decision with ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski in an interview.

“I’ve been preparing most of my life to join the NBA, and that time has come for me now,”Young said, via Wojnarowski.

“After an unforgettable year at the University of Oklahoma, I will enter the June NBA draft and fully immerse myself in the pursuit of a pro basketball career.”

Young, 19, led the nation with 27.4 PPG in the 2017-2018 season and was selected to the All-American First Team.

Young also paced with 8.7 APG, and tallied 3.9 RPG with 1.7 SPG.

Young is a likely lottery pick in the NBA draft.
