Mission Viejo (California) quarterback Joey Yellen announced his commitment to the Arizona State Sun Devils on Sunday.
It will mark the 2nd quarterback that the Sun Devils have landed in the class of 2019 after their acquisition of Ethan Long, who committed to the program last week.
“I love the area around ASU, the campus and I really like the culture that coach Herm Edwards is building” Yellen said.
“I like coach (Rob) Likens (OC/QB coach) as well and I believe in what he’s doing with the quarterbacks and the offense he wants to run.
“I just think ASU is a great all around fit for me athletically and then academically as well with their honors college program that I plan to go in to. I’m really excited about my decision and happy to be a Sun Devil.”
Yellen threw for 2,439 yards and 29 touchdowns last season at Mission Viejo.
