Four-star Minneapolis (Minn.) De La Salle guard Tyrell Terry has committed to Stanford, making his formal announcement on Sunday, according to 247Sports.
“I am headed to Stanford University,” Terry said, per 247Sports.
“I chose them because it is unique place where you can get a top of the line education along with top of the line competition basketball wise,” he added. “I developed a very strong relationship with the coaching staff and it just felt like the perfect place for me.”
“Coach Adam Cohen did most my recruitment,” Terry said. “What I liked about the staff was that they made it clear to me from the beginning that I was the guy they wanted and did all the right things as far as developing relationships with my parents and things like that which meant a lot to me.”
“I learned quickly that college basketball is a business and them telling me they needed a point guard in my class and that I was the only one they were coming after hard, had a very strong impression on me”.
Terry averaged 13.4 points and 4.2 assists last season.
